Bio

McClintock High School Assistant Offensive Line Coach Anthony Peebles brings collegiate playing experience and an Arizona football background to the Chargers coaching staff. Peebles continued his football career at Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ), gaining valuable experience within a college football program and developing his knowledge of offensive line play at the next level.

His experience as a college football player gives Peebles a valuable perspective when working with McClintock’s offensive linemen. Having experienced the expectations of a collegiate program firsthand, he understands the importance of technique, preparation, strength, communication, discipline, and attention to detail. He uses those experiences to help Charger offensive linemen understand what is required to continue developing as players and prepare themselves for opportunities beyond high school.

As McClintock’s Assistant Offensive Line Coach, Peebles works closely with the offensive staff to develop the Chargers up front. His coaching emphasizes fundamentals such as footwork, hand placement, leverage, run blocking, pass protection, and identifying defensive fronts. He also stresses the importance of the offensive line functioning as one unit, where communication, toughness, trust, and accountability are essential to the success of the offense.

Coach Peebles brings his experience playing college football at OUAZ back to the Arizona high school football community with an opportunity to mentor the next generation of players. His goal at McClintock is to help develop offensive linemen who are physical, disciplined, intelligent, and dependable, while preparing his student-athletes to become better players, teammates, and young men on and off the field.
