Bio

McClintock High School Defensive Coordinator LJ Miller brings championship experience, collegiate coaching experience, and a strong defensive background to the Chargers football program. Before joining McClintock, Miller coached at the NAIA level at Nelson University, where he served as the Defensive Backs Coach and Pass Game Coordinator. His experience at the college level allowed him to work closely with defensive backs while helping develop and coordinate the defensive passing game.

Prior to Nelson University, Miller built an impressive résumé at the high school level. He served as the Head Coach at Newman International High School and previously worked as the Defensive Coordinator at Dallas Lutheran High School. Throughout his coaching career, Miller has been a part of two State Championship teams, bringing a championship mentality and a high standard of preparation, discipline, and accountability to McClintock.

Miller's involvement in football also extends beyond the sidelines, as he serves as the AYF Southwest Regional Chair, where he helps support the continued growth and development of youth football throughout the region. His experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels gives him a well-rounded perspective on developing players at every stage of the game.

Away from football, Coach Miller is a proud father of four. Family is an important part of his life and has helped shape his approach to leadership, mentorship, and coaching. He brings that family-oriented mentality to McClintock, with an emphasis on developing young men who represent the Chargers with toughness, discipline, accountability, and pride.
