Bio
McClintock High School Quarterbacks and Running Backs Coach Ruben Pimbert brings an Arizona high school football background and valuable coaching experience to the Chargers offensive staff. Pimbert is a product of Saguaro High School, one of Arizona’s most successful football programs, where he was part of a championship-caliber culture that emphasized preparation, accountability, competition, and doing the little things necessary to win.
During his time at Saguaro, Pimbert gained experience playing on both sides of the football, including time along the offensive and defensive lines. His experience in the trenches gives him a unique perspective when coaching the offensive backfield, allowing him to teach quarterbacks and running backs how their responsibilities connect with blocking schemes, defensive fronts, running lanes, protections, and the overall structure of the offense.
In addition to his role at McClintock, Pimbert is also a coach with FutureU, where he has the opportunity to work with and develop younger football players. His involvement at the youth level allows him to help athletes build strong fundamentals early in their careers while teaching the importance of discipline, teamwork, football IQ, and preparation. That experience carries over to McClintock, where he continues helping players develop both their physical skills and their understanding of the game.
As McClintock’s Quarterbacks and Running Backs Coach, Pimbert works closely with two position groups that are essential to the Chargers offense. He brings his experiences as a player and coach into his approach to developing athletes, with an emphasis on fundamentals, confidence, toughness, decision-making, and football intelligence. His goal is not only to develop better football players, but to help young men grow and represent McClintock with pride both on and off the field.
